TEACHING FOR LEARNING

Candidates are effective teachers who demonstrate knowledge of learners and learning and who model and promote collaborative planning, instruction in multiple literacies, and inquiry-based learning, enabling members of the learning community to become effective users and creators of ideas and information. My accomplishments in this area…

Teaching for learning is the basis of everything we do as educators, regardless of our location in a school community. Our main goal is to see learning and growth in the students. This area is the one where I have the most experience as a classroom teacher of over 10 years. I have been successful in many different curricula, lessons, activities, and collaboration with others. What I have attached are two different lesson plans that were collaborative in nature. Both are lessons where I took the role as librarian, and many different sources where used. One is based around 21st century learning specifically; we must consistently teach students how to manipulate technology so they will be prepared in our digital world.
